We zijn het er bij 3voor12 wel over eens met z’n allen: dé grote Nederlandse underground-sensatie van het jaar is The Homesick, all the way uit Dokkum, Friesland. Ze maken rebelse noiserock, maar tussen het lawaai door zitten ook prachtige melodieën en popliedjes verstopt. Afgelopen maand kwam hun debuutalbum Youth Hunt uit, en daarmee spelen ze heel Nederland al plat, maar af en toe ook daarbuiten. Ver daarbuiten.
In de DJ Shortlist neemt één van de absolute grondleggers van de techno zijn favoriete platen met Roosmarijn door: Kevin Saunderson. Hij draait morgen op Awakenings back to back met één van die andere godfathers uit Detroit, Derrick May. Welke track hoopt Kevin dat Derrick sowieso meeneemt?
