Vinyl50: Mister and Mississippi, Sue The Night en John Coffey in de top 3

De best verkopende LP’s deze week zijn van Nederlandse bodem

Nederland is bijzonder goed vertegenwoordigd in de Vinyl50 van deze week. Mister and Mississippi, Sue The Night en John Coffey zijn deze week de best verkochte platen in Nederland, en hebben daarmee de top 3 volledig in beslag genomen. Vanavond bespreekt Roosmarijn in 3voor12 Radio de lijst van deze week.

Op nummer 1 een nieuwe binnenkomer: We Only Part To Meet Again, het tweede album van Mister and Mississippi. Voor zangeres Maxime Barlag is het een bijzonder persoonlijke plaat. “Ik ben niet gelovig, maar als we We Only Part To Meet Again spelen heb ik het gevoel dat mijn moeder er is”, aldus Maxime in een interview met 3voor12.

Debuutalbum Mosaic van 3FM Serious Talent Sue The Night stijgt deze week van 11 naar nummer 2. Op Eurosonic Noorderslag wist de singer-songwriter al indruk te maken, en 3voor12 was daar natuurlijk bij om opnames te maken. Op nummer 3 vinden we nog een gloednieuwe plaat: The Great News, de tweede van Utrechtse rockers John Coffey, tevens ons Album van de Week.

Verder in de top 50 nog meer van eigen bodem: behalve Kensington en Anouk staat ook Typhoon in de lijst op nummer 13. Zijn album Lobi Da Basi won in 2014 de 3voor12 Award voor album van het jaar, en houdt zijn plek in de Vinyl50 al 17 weken vol.
