The Music Documentary "Austin to Boston" is a film by Marcus Haney that will be screened this month at IDFA: International Documentary Festival Amsterdam. Bear's Den is a three piece group from London that was invited by SXSW to go on a two week tour with three other bands traveling from Austin to Boston back in 2012. Lead singer Andrew Davie shared more about being on the road with Ben Howard, swimming pools and their new record "Islands".

As London Calling is coming up end of the month, we're bringing you a London Calling feature introducing fresh new sounds as a warm up for the festival. Wild Child is a six piece band from Austin Texas, mainly led by folk duo Alexander Beggins and Kelsey Wilson. Influenced by the musical spell of Austin Texas and its whiskey, Alexander shared more about these influences and how these wild children came together to form a band.

As London Calling is coming up end of the month, we're bringing you a London Calling feature introducing fresh new sounds as a warm up for the festival. Nimmo is a five piece group from the North West of London, mainly led by the extraordinary and exciting vocals of Sarah Nimmo and Reva Gauntlett. Over a cup of tea on a Wednesday afternoon they opened up their musical doors and gave me a sneak peak of what it's like to be musicians in the London scene.
Pelvic Fins
Band speelt op eerste editie van singer-songwriter festival The Brave

“Nou dat moet ik kunnen, want ik heb vrije school gedaan” is hoe Gijs van der Voort reageerde toen ik hem vroeg een band portret te tekenen van zijn band de Pelvic Fins. Hij vond het verstandig om op lengte te tekenen: drummer Bart van Westrop moest heel knap want hij is namelijk het sekssymbool. Zelf kreeg hij netjes een gitaar en bassist Dolf de Meijer werd getekend met zijn hoofd lichtelijk gekanteld, omdat dit zijn zangstijl symboliseert.
